Healthcare Republic has set up this new forum dedicated to nurse prescribing. If you're a nurse prescriber (or planning to become a nurse prescriber) this is the place where you can ask your colleagues questions about prescribing or discuss the latest issues.

I'd be interested to know whether there are any issues related to nurse prescribing that are affecting your practice, or more general issues that you feel strongly about.

For example, are you worried about access to continuing professional development? Are there any legal issues that concern you? Do you think the nurse prescribing course adequately prepares you to prescribe? Are nurse prescribers appropriately remunerated for their extra responsibilities? How has nurse prescribing enhanced your practice?

Let me know what you think and we will try to address some of these topics in upcoming issues of Independent Nurse. You may also get some feedback or advice from fellow nurse prescribers.
