Does Gordon Brown value traditional general practice?

We're interested in your views about the Valuing General Practice campaign. Is this the right issue to be campaigning about? Does Gordon Brown value traditional general practice? How would you like to see the campaign develop? All thoughts welcome.

No, He's obliged us to open surgery on saturday just to maintain our income. The demand for weekend opening has been exagerated by politicians.

Most of the appointments we offer on saturday are not taken by our patients because they prefer to consult during the week. I saw only one patient this satuday morning and she needed investigations so will have to attend again when the laboratory services are available. I and my staff spent the morning doing administrative tasks which although valuable were not a justification for coming in to work today. This is not a productive use of my time.

With all due respect prime minister you're wasting public money paying me to do this.
