    GP leaders are on collision course with ministers after GPC and RCGP joint guidance suggested that GPs could be struck off if they actively compete for patients.

    Presumably the same stringent regulations will also apply to the private providers entering the market. Yeh, course they will............

    What's wrong with saying "come down to this surgery because it's better?" GPs shouldn't live in an environment of the gentleman's agreement - they should apply their own selection criteria i.e the difference in quality between a holiday in Butlins and one in Aspen - and apply the same criteria to general practice. It is 2008!

    why are we tying our hands all private providers already do it... anybody seen the recent BUPA adds
