Private healthcare companies and social care organisations could be given the power to issue NHS Smartcards so their staff can access patient records, the government has said.

Now you know why I insisted that none of my family's medical records would be recorded on the so-called NHS Spine. How long before surgery cleaners, etc, are given our pin numbers, (in case of emergency, of course), to access our records?
