It is a pity that they do not restrict themselves to these pay rises! According to the Independent, NHS chief executive David Nicholson has enjoyed an increase of 20% in salary and now earns £220,000 a year and in addition receives a second home allowance of £37,600. Workforce boss Clare Chapman earns £250000 and chief nursing officer Christine Beasley earned a ten per cent pay rise to £160000.
