    What do you call your patients?

    Do you call patients by their first name? Do your patients call you by your first name or doctor?

    In an article in this week's GP, it is argued that using first names undermines a doctor's professionalism. Do first names help create a more comfortable and patient-centred consultation, or do they make it difficult to maintain boundaries? What do you think?
