The DoH is poised to ‘move quickly’ to open up a distinct part of the nursing register to clearly define nurses in advanced roles, a senior official told the Royal College of Nursing Congress last week.

I wellcome this register, as an advanced nurse practitioner i have studied long and hard at Masters level in order to provide a high level of patient care. The title should only be given after the appropriate qualification. It is unfair that the title is given to nurses who have not gone through the right processes of training.
