basically ther is non; it depends on your employer I'm afraid. I don't think you are alone in your plight but, unless there is guidance from the NMC and the unions it is unlikely nurse prescribing will attract any increase in salary despite the increased responsibility. Have you tried negotiiating with your employers? make them see and understand just how much the role entails in respect of the work you do, and saves everyone time. No waiting outside a doctor's consulting room for a signature, patients not kepot waiting whilst you do so, and the next patient not being seen late BECAUSE of the time spent getting prescriptions signed. Think you can work out a good argument to take to them. Good luck :o)
