The number of GP training places are to be expanded, the government has announced.

I am speechless! on the one hand Darzi devalues us and what we do, and on the other wants us to train more GP's!! not exactly consistent!!

"based on existing resource allocations" We all know that the training grant is grossly inadequate and practices are not fighting to become training practices. Which planet or drug are they on!!

 Anyone with minimal imagination can see where this is going.

The only reason to flood the market with more GPs is to create

further unrest  and drive down salaries. How else can you expect

anyone to recruit salaried GPs for Drop-in centres / Polyclinics.
