I have been a nurse for over 30 years now, qualifying as a SRN in the Army in 1979. Since leaving the Army in 1990 I have worked in HM Prison Service, elderly care, medical insurance, A&E, Walk In Centres, and OOH. I am a qualified Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care and work both in a GP practice and for the OOH service providing face to face consultations in A&E.. My main interest is in male health, particularly prostate problems and sexual health. I have also been involved in running in-house prostate assessment clinics, weight management and CHD. Now I'm studying for the diploma in diabetes management - who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? ;O)
